Preparing for your treatment

• Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and self-tan beforehand
• Shave rather than wax or pluck the area as advised
• Attend your patch test appointment in advance

Aftercare

• Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily
• Avoid heat treatments for 24–48 hours
• Follow the written aftercare guidance provided

Contraindications and suitability

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Active skin infection, broken skin or an inflammatory flare in the treatment area
• Recent use of certain prescribed skin medications
• Known allergy to any product used during the treatment
• Other factors identified during your consultation
• Recent sun exposure, sunbed use or self-tan
• Photosensitising medication or a photosensitivity condition
• Certain skin tones and pigmentation histories, assessed individually
